Placement in Independent Schools

Starting in October, after the first summer session, families meet with a representative from ESP to discuss applying for admission to one of the schools participating in ESP. During the fall, families visit the selected schools and complete the admission and financial aid criteria. Throughout the process, families work with their designated ESP representative to ensure successful placement for grade 6. During the fall, they apply to participating schools for admittance and for financial aid. Tuition provided by consortium schools to ESP families will be based on a needs formula to be decided by the schools under their regular financial aid guidelines. ESP will make every effort to successfully place its graduates in independent schools. Each participating school has guaranteed to take a minimum of one student per year who satisfactorily completes Emerging Scholars Program and who meets the school's admission criteria.
