THE PROGRAM
It is summertime…or perhaps a Saturday morning during the school year. Other children are playing video games, relaxing by the pool, or watching morning cartoons. ESP students, under the tutelage of professional educators, are mastering PowerPoint, reading one more new book, and developing their leadership skills. ESP participants learn that it is possible to change their lives through perseverance and courage. They experience the satisfaction of successfully working with classmates from many cultures. They learn to value themselves and to accept and value others. They feel the pride in being part of something special. ESP is intentionally demanding. Admittance to ESP is an opportunity, not a gift. Upon graduation students know that they have earned a place in their new schools.
